Join us on one of our regular Sewing Sewcial days - a fabulous day of sewing and chatter where likeminded sewists can get together once a month on a Wednesday and a few extra Sewing Sewcials on Sundays throughout the remainder of the year.
Christine and Sharon host the monthly events and are both sewers - Christine is a lot more dedicated and makes all her own clothes. She has a successful YouTube channel showcasing her makes, and vlogs about new patterns she's tried with where to find the best fabrics and lots of hints and tips along the way. Sharon has a background in curtain making and both Christine and Sharon are learning how to quilt at the moment by taking monthly classes at Quilters Quarters in Longridge.
There are a wide range of abilities, with ladies and gents bringing projects from shortening trousers to making corsets, quilting and memory bear making. You are made to feel welcome from the minute you arrive and we have a lot of sewers returning every month or as often as they can. You will need to bring your own sewing machine and/or overlocker along with your project and the materials you will need. We provide a table for you, a larger table with cutting mat if you haven't already got your project cut out, an iron and board should you need to press seams, etc and we do have a limited supply of notions and things you may have forgotten to bring with you. We also have a swaps table that you can help yourself to if you can make use of any of the items that have been donated.
